About[]

Ye Yuan is the protagonist of the novel Unrivaled Medicine God. He was formerly known as Ji Qingyun, a peak alchemy emperor of the divine realm and young lord of the Medicine King Hall. He was respectfully called Qingyun Zi (the Zi suffix was in honour of his achievements in alchemy) and referred to as the alchemist with the greatest chance of becoming Alchemy God. He and his father were betrayed and killed by Ji Canglan, a traitorous senior disciple. After being killed, his soul escaped to one of the Lower Realms, a plane called Endless World, where he took over the body of a young silk pants called Ye Yuan.

Hence, the purpose of Ye Yuan’s existence in this life was to do two things! The first thing was to personally kill Ji Canglan and avenge this immense hatred. The second was to figure out just what force was supporting Ji Canglan from behind!

Ye Yuan firmly believed that Ji Canglan's actions could not be executed in isolation. The audacious endeavor to overthrow a monumental establishment such as the Medicine King Hall hinted at the existence of a formidable power bolstering Ji Canglan from the shadows. This power was potent enough to instill terror in the hearts of those who dared cross its path.

However, this formidable power held no sway over Ye Yuan's resolve.

If he could not take revenge for Father, then what was the point of him, Ji Qingyun reincarnating? He, Ji Qingyun, lived his life proudly. How could he possibly lead this sort of ignoble life? Even if taking revenge was harder than reaching the heavens, Ji Qingyun would still try reaching this heaven!

Wasn’t it just practicing martial arts? Since Ji Qingyun was able to be hailed as the alchemist closest to Alchemy God during his previous life, he could become the martial artist most likely to step into the Deity Realm in this life!

He has the highest comprehension ability in the novel, except for God of Creation Hong Jun (unknown).

"Walking all the way until today, what he relied on was not a powerful bloodline, heaven-defying inheritance, but his comprehension ability that was powerful until it made people despair!"

"Alchemy Dao, Formation Dao, spatial rule, the power of origin, without heaven-defying comprehension ability, how could Ye Yuan possibly go step by step from the mortal world to the peak of myriad worlds, even talking with Hegemons?."

Appearance[]

He usually wears a white robe adorned with his extraordinary demeanor.

After going through 6x Nirvanic Tribulations: "The current Ye Yuan was much taller, face as fair as jade, skin like condensed snow, valiant and heroic in bearing, looking like he returned to 17 or 18 years old, like he returned to boyhood from old age. The present Ye Yuan was absolutely a handsome to the extreme pretty boy." (Ch. 1945)

Personality[]

Ye Yuan possesses a child-like passion for alchemy, finding genuine joy in the daily pursuit of refining pills and immersing himself in the art. His love for alchemy is a defining aspect of his character.

Beyond his alchemical pursuits, Ye Yuan exhibits the compassionate nature of a doctor. His kind-heartedness compels him to intervene in the affairs of others, especially when he encounters individuals in need of medical assistance. Even in his dealings with rivals, he demonstrates mercy, extending it as long as they harbor no ill intent towards him or his loved ones.

Grey Eyed Ye Yuan[]

Grey Eyed Ye Yuan is calmer and more ruthless than the usual Ye Yuan. He seems to lack any form of emotion and won't hesitate to do anything to achieve his goal even destroying his own small world is not an issue.

Trivia[]

  • He has Atavism Dragon Soul which enables him to learn dragon techniques twice the speed & half the effort. He received it from his mother Ao Jun.
  • Lesser Heavenspan Mountain is also called Heart of Heavenspan (Ch. 2509).
  • Leaving aside the Divine Realm, there were countless small nether realm worlds. And they were divided according to the degree of limitation of the essence energy of the small world, dividing into higher order, middle order and lower order, these three levels. The limit that higher-order small worlds could withstand was Level 6, Boundless Realm, while the limit for medium-order small worlds was Level 5, Divine Traversing Realm! Theoretically speaking, when martial artists overcome the energy limitations of this world's essence, they can break the void and ascend to the Divine Realm! (Ch. 338)
